Week 28.. Back online

Once upon a time we had a mobile me account. With this account came certain privileges, including a website hosting service. When this account was active I started a baby website that I was going to update weekly throughout my pregnancy and let you know how our little Jellybean was doing as well as any other interesting information that may have popped up during the week. Unfortunately, mobile me costs money. So that account has gone away and was not renewed. That is when I started looking at website builders and other free options. They are quite obnoxious... Then my mom said "Tori, why don't you start a blog?" and I found blogger! Now this blog is born!

If you are one of my facebook friends, you have probably seen the updates on all the crazy that's been going on in the past month. Hopefully this will be an outlet for more details and some fun info as well! Today I am 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant. That is near the beginning of the third trimester! It's been smooth sailing this week in terms of contractions. I love not having to go to the hospital every few days! hopefully this is the start of a long, chill, relaxing break for both me and the Jellybean.

Baby This Week:
This week baby is about the size of an eggplant! He/She weighs about 2.5 pounds and is about as long as baby will be when he/she is born. The most important thing these next few weeks is brain development. Up until now baby's brain has been smooth but it's now beginning to form those fun squiggly grooves and is growing rapidly. Most of the time baby keeps his/her eyes open now, and he/she has learned how to blink! Over the next 12 weeks (we hope 12!) baby will continue to put on weight and gather fat. This week baby (or baby's body) will master some new things like sucking, hiccuping, coughing, dreaming, and even taking practice breaths! I wonder what my Jellybean will dream about :)
